15/12/23 – Last week Richard Ormesher won an important B&DCL game against a strong opponent. In so doing we saw what we have seen previously from Richard – good tactical skills in complicated positions.
This was Richard’s first outing with the Marshall Gambit. At one stage he did not have much for his pawn but he fought tenaciously and created an unbalanced position. He navigated the reuslting complications well and finished the game with a nice mating net, winning himself the full point and the match victory for the team.
