Are You A Rookie Keen For Match Experience?

In the 2023-24 season Ringwood will once again be entering a team in the Bacchus competition run by the Bournemouth & District Chess League. The aim of the Bacchus League is to offer graded league matches for players who do not normally get the opportunity to play in club league matches, or are new to more competitive chess. The games are typically played in a very friendly and welcoming environment. For example, taking part is seen as more important than the result.

Our team Bacchus League team is called Ringwood Waifs and Strays.

Martin Clancy is the Ringwood Chess Club secretary and is keen to sign on new players for the Bacchus League, especially any starting off playing chess, or perhaps returning to the game. Martin can be contacted by email: mjclancy999@gmail.com.
