Rooms
The move to Greyfriars has been very successful for the club. In the last few years, we have been ECF Small Club of the Year, run 3 Rapidplay events, held many internal blitz events and re-introduced the club championship.
Overall, Greyfriars has been a huge improvement for us but having just one room is not ideal when both league matches and casual chess are being played. Accordingly, we have decided to hire the Meghan Holman room (the coffee room) on home match nights.
On match nights:

The Hilary Christie room will be used for matches and club championship games.

The Meghan Holman room will be used for casual chess, informal help, and post-match analysis.
On other nights:

Only the Hilary Christie room will be hired.
You can see when home matches are being played here.
As we enter this new arrangement, it is important that the Meghan Holman room is NOT used at all on nights when we do not have matches.
Etiquette
Members are reminded:

That silence is required in the room where matches are being played

To speak quietly even when matches are not being played, especially if club championship games are in progress in the room

Not to use mobile phones to evaluate positions whilst games are in play, even if it is not your game.
