21/12/22 – We managed to win our two last matches of the year. Both were important wins in their own ways.
Firstly, on 12th December in the B&DCL Division 1, our A team played Poole B and prevailed 2.5 – 1.5. This was a critical match as the division is very tight. It has left us on 50% and mid-table, just a point above Poole B.
Secondly, on 19th December in the B&DCL Division 3, our B team beat Bournemouth C also by 2.5 – 1.5. This leaves us 2 points clear at the top of the division, albeit having played a match more than most of the teams. However, a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush, and we start the new year with a real chance of winning the division.
